Praia de Itacarezinho

Itacarezinho is the biggest of the beaches south of town and the one to give a whole day to rather than an hour. It runs long and wide, backed by Atlantic forest rather than by anything built, and outside the Brazilian holidays it is empty enough that the scale of it is the thing you notice first.

It is far enough south that going there and coming back is the day. Do not try to add it to the end of a walk that started at the town beaches.

It is open Atlantic with real movement in the water and nobody watching it, which is worth reading properly in the safety guide before you swim.
